Apple did everything not to create a special version of iOS which would remove the security features to allow the FBI to access the iPhone San Bernardino shooter. The manufacturer believes that user privacy is not respected. Nevertheless, it is justice that will have the last word, and in case of defeat Apple will obey the decision.

According to the New York Times, some engineers at Apple already planning not to help the FBI if Apple loses the battle. Some already are reluctant to stop working or even downright quit their jobs (yet highly paid). These engineers do not want to remove the safety devices that have been implemented in recent years and required many months of work. They refuse otherwise not respect privacy, either their own or those users with an iPhone or other Apple product.

Naturally, these engineers could be in serious trouble with the law. Indeed, justice has the final say, and an order is an order. If they do not apply the decision decided at the trial, they will prevent the FBI to move forward and May especially trial turn for non-compliance.

This could also be a problem for Apple. Indeed, the engineers in question have significant qualifications, they might be the only ones to create a special version of iOS (Apple calls internally GovtiOS). Meanwhile, Apple and the FBI will face off in court on March 22 next Tuesday.

Oddworld New 'n' Tasty coming this year for iOS

This is one big announcements of the GDC 2016 about mobile gaming. Oddworld New 'n' Tasty, reboot the first Oddworld: Abe's Odyssee (and authentic masterpiece) that was originally released on PS one, will be adapted to iOS after passing through the PC, PS4 and PS Vita. This revamped version of cult title was given a complete overhaul, with largely brought up to date graphics, and in the case of version iOS consideration of touch gestures (swipe up / down / right / left).

The iOS version is already under development, and the only difference with the game console (except touch controls) is the lack of direct voice commands, orders the voice is replaced by a list of sentences to choose from.

The year 2016 begins very strong in terms of adaptations of classics on iOS; after the excellent and unexpected Final Fantasy 9, the rumors about the probable arrival of Day of the Tentacle (again completely revised graphically), it is the turn of our shock Mudokon make a detour again iOS, in what is still probably the best game studio Oddworld Inhabitants. Oddworld New 'n' Tasty is expected to arrive in the App Store this fall (and no, there will be no Android version na!)
