Vimeo, a YouTube competitor, has renewed its iOS application today (Download from App Store Free for iPhone / iPad). Vimeo says that we pass the version 6 with several new features to the program.

The application to see design changes video to enable better navigation, in the words of Vimeo. The player has also been reviewed, notably with the support of 4K video. Users with iPad iOS 9 will also enjoy the Picture in Picture function, this allows to put video in a corner of the screen and do something else at the same time (surf Safari, for example). Speaking of iPad, the application is updated to support the iPad Pro with its 12.9-inch screen.

For the rest, Vimeo says have simplified the process for downloading offline videos to see them without an internet connection and improved the process for video upload. In terms of categories, there is now talk of a management handled by humans, not algorithms. Finally, the speed to search content was accelerated.

Reuters confirms Apple will open new offices in San Francisco
